We had a lovely stay in clean, comfortable rooms, and it was great to borrow snorkeling equipment and fins from the hotel. The staff were friendly, met us at the pier on arrival, and dropped us there when we left. One of them even showed us around the island briefly on our first day, which we appreciated. The problem was that staff were often hard to find. We wanted to buy food and drinks at the hotel, but couldn’t because nobody was available. During the day we usually had to reach them on WhatsApp with questions, and sometimes the replies took a while. That’s the only reason I’ve given four stars.

The rooftop restaurant was a highlight, with lovely views, tasty meals, and café service throughout the day. Our newly renovated room was modern, clean, comfortable, and well looked after. The staff were professional, friendly, and ready to help. It’s a relaxing place to stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the Maldives.

The owner was great at communicating and arranging affordable private boat transfers. We paid USD 35 for two people to go from Mahibadhoo to Omadhoo. For USD 250, he also set up a direct boat to Mathiveri, which got us there in an hour instead of the six-hour route via Malé. He can arrange trips to see manta rays, sharks, sandbanks, beach dinners, and more. Our room was tidy and well equipped. Breakfast was simple and tasty, with a beautiful ocean view. The bathroom was like those in local hotels, with the shower and toilet together, which might not be comfortable for everyone.

We left Nemo Inn the next morning and found other accommodation, a decision that saved our holiday. We’d stayed in three places on different islands during the trip, so had others to compare it with, and I can’t recommend Nemo Inn to friends. The beds were uncomfortable and wobbly, and the staff were noisy, sitting at the front desk right beside the rooms and at the next table during meals. The team seemed inexperienced and nobody knew how to treat guests. Our full-board plan gave us no choice of meals, and it cost more than ordering dishes separately from the same restaurant. The property looked like it hadn’t been renovated or worked on for a long time. Our room smelled bad, including the bathroom. When we asked staff to address it, they just told us to turn on the fan. We couldn’t find anything positive about the stay.

The staff were friendly and kind, the bedroom was comfortable, and it had AC and a hot water shower. The hotel is close to both the public and tourist beaches, and can arrange transfers and trips to other islands, sandbanks, and snorkeling spots. The food was fresh and tasty. Omadhoo itself felt like paradise, with stunning beaches and very friendly people. My trip was perfect, and I’d recommend the hotel to everyone.
