Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort

We appreciated the professional, kind service. The woman who assisted us was prompt, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout. The hotel was comfortable, though it didn’t quite have the authentic Maldives feel we expected. The food could be better. It was difficult at times to get gluten-free and lactose-intolerant options, and the selection was limited. We were also disappointed to find a large construction site directly in front of our room, something that wasn’t clearly mentioned or visible in the website photos. That led us to feel we needed to upgrade, which we hadn’t planned. Clearer communication and some improvements could make the guest experience better.

The spa was among the best we’ve experienced. Chanya and Kadek were skilled, calming, and attentive therapists. Kadir also took great care of us throughout, always kind and helpful. And Khalid, our cleaner, kept the room spotless, organized, and refreshed to a high standard. His consistency, attention to detail, and kindness made us more comfortable. Thanks to the water sports team, Jailam, Luqman, Nisham, and Visham. They were professional and friendly, and made every activity fun and safe. The resort itself was stunning, peaceful, and very well maintained, with a top-tier atmosphere and service. An unforgettable stay at Anantara. We highly recommend it and would definitely return.

Shujaau, our room attendant, made everything easy for our family of 3 adults and 2 teens. He replied to every message within 5 minutes, helped with restaurant reservations, a buggy, activity questions, and even made sure everyone had a bike. The island had lots to do too, including yoga, kids club, pool, and gym. Midun was a great trainer who also runs the boxing session, and knows a lot about fitness and health. The food and beverages team, led by Pankaj, did a great job accommodating our 3 vegetarians and 2 vegans. Ramu and the other waiters adjusted the restaurant menus so we had plenty of variety during our 4 night stay. Aquafanatics helped fill our trip with activities, including dolphin + nurse shark snorkelling, jet skis, and kayaks. Till and Mustafa were accommodating and answered our questions about aquatic animals and reefs. Getting around the island and to the airport was smooth. A few rides were wavy, but fun, and we always felt safe. Bikes were handy, and pontoons made it easy to get to restaurants. Our rooms were lovely, spacious, comfortable, beautifully finished, and had water access. Towels and water bottles were provided, and even the extra bed was comfortable. From our over water villa we saw plenty of fish, crab, and a few sharks. In sun or rain, the team and room gave us a proper Maldives experience.

The kids club was a huge hit with my two daughters. Thanks to Joker, Thesa, and the whole team for making their days so special. While they were busy having fun, my wife and I could relax on the beach and in the sun. Later, we all watched the lovely sunset by the pool before going for a delicious, relaxing dinner at one of the resort’s many excellent restaurants. Breakfast was another highlight. Chef Subodh Katre surprised us each morning with a new, mouthwatering dish from his native India. We hope to come back soon. A wonderful resort for the whole family!
