Merijaan Maldives

A great value place by the beach on a very quiet street. The facilities are renovated, with lovely details that make it feel homey. The food here is AMAZING. Dinner, whether by the plate or at the open buffet, was what I looked forward to most!

Room 207 was spacious and clean, and the care from the team made the stay memorable. Mr. Hassan especially went above and beyond with his kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail. We didn’t know until we left that the hotel had prepared a takeaway breakfast for our 6 am departure. It meant a lot. Breakfast was a highlight every day, and we had dinner at the hotel three times, twice buffet and once à la carte. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Many thanks to the chef, who was almost unbelievably polite and professional. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, the service outstanding, and the atmosphere welcoming. Merijaan is a great choice in Maafushi for food and service. I can’t recommend it enough and look forward to returning.

The food was a real highlight, with fresh, high-quality ingredients in both the local Maldivian dishes and international options at the restaurant. The hotel’s location on Maafushi made water sports and local attractions easy to reach. Staff welcomed me warmly from the moment I arrived, and the hotel clearly cares about guest satisfaction. My stay felt magical, and I can’t wait to return for another slice of paradise!

The room felt cozy, with a little balcony overlooking the sea and trees. The breakfast was easily the best in quality. The staff are lovely and caring, and this place feels like a home away from home if you’re staying on Maafushi and want to enjoy the island. It’s such a lovely, underrated hotel.
