Keyla Inn

We had a really good week here, and the staff were awesome and always ready to help. The room was a good size for us since we were mostly out and needed it for sleeping and showering. It stayed clean, with fresh sheets during the stay, and towels and water were always available. I was sad to leave and will definitely come back.

This is a very budget guesthouse, and Ameen really is its bright spot. He’s a nice guy. But the room was dirty, there was mould on the wall, and the toilet was so bad I closed my eyes while brushing my teeth. The towel was stained. Please address the cleanliness, especially since this apparently isn’t the first complaint of this kind. I also hope Ahmed, the manager, was right about the $24 green tax being collected directly by the property. We had already paid everything, including tax, through Agoda before arriving. We explained that to him and didn’t want an argument, but paid the $24 anyway.

Luha was quick to answer all our questions and requests, from booking through check-out. There were lots of government requirements to follow, and the fast replies were a real help. The chef and housekeeper was another friendly, smiling person who was happy to help. The room was clean and fairly standard, with working hot water. The open-air lounge is spacious and has lines for hanging wet clothes. We tried the Maldivian breakfast and liked both the quality and portion. They also offer a Western option. We’ll definitely stay at Keyla Inn again on our next trip to Thulusdhoo.

A lovely stay for the price. The rooms were clean and looked after, and the beach was close by. WiFi worked perfectly, and the friendly staff gave useful tips on diving and surfing spots. The rooms could use some renovation, though.
