There’s plenty of room, but the bathrooms need redoing. The toilet seats in the room I used have had their day and need replacing as soon as possible. Staff were friendly. Vegetarians may have trouble finding something to eat, though if you explain what you need to the waiters, the chef can make it if the ingredients are available. Wi-Fi was okay.

Breakfast normally starts after 6am, but I checked in after 10pm on my first day and asked if I could have it at 4am. They arranged everything, gave me a courtesy wake-up call when it was ready, and brought the warm meal to my room on time. There was no extra charge. The service is amazing and would probably make up for any shortcomings.

The staff are doing their best with what they’re given, and they do a good job. I feel for them having to be associated with this place. The stay itself wasn’t worth the trouble. There was no electricity about 40% of the time, and what you get is a huge letdown compared with the advertising. In my De Lux room, the air conditioner was so loud I could barely hear someone knock. If I didn’t answer, room service would just walk in. The unit was coming away from the wall and leaking onto the carpet, and its broken buttons meant I couldn’t adjust it properly. Opening a window was a challenge too. The key cards hardly worked, and they wouldn’t give me a new or different one.

For my first trip to Malawi, I was welcomed with great hospitality. The place was fresh and quiet, and the team gave me good assistance. I was glad to spend my two nights there.

It was clean and comfortable, but I only stayed once. I like having a beer with dinner, and this place doesn’t allow alcohol.
