We were a big family staying at Maoni Guest House, and felt welcome the whole time. It was always clean, and Brown took great care of us, our rooms and the laundry. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in downtown Blantyre.

The lodge is on a bumpy road and is really hard to reach without a car. My fiancé and I had tried several other places and arrived here by car, but the man who came over kept looking at us and the car suspiciously. I gestured to show we wanted to ask about a room, though I already disliked his manners. When I politely asked if one might be available on a Friday, he rudely said, “absolutely not.” We didn’t even need to see a room or go inside to feel unwelcome. If you can’t treat clients well, this place is a no for me.
