Mijn Kitchen Coffee Shop and B&B

Over the last few years, we’ve spent quite a few Saturday mornings here. It’s a pretty place with a beautiful garden, and the kids enjoy the little jungle gym. The menu hasn’t really changed, although there are rotating specials. Prices have kept going up over the years, as they do with everything in Malawi. If you want a particular spot for Friday or Saturday food, it’s better to reserve. Most of the food is tasty, but it’s quite pricey. Burgers now come without chips, which you have to buy separately. The staff are very friendly.

The shake was a decent size even though I ordered the small, and it tasted good. The attendant was friendly, but kept checking two or three times that I really wanted the small, which felt a little odd, like he was steering me toward a bigger one. The food is light and tasty too. Prices are on the high side, though I still think it's worth trying.

Joyce treated us like family and made the place feel like home. She was so kind and looked after us throughout our stay. I'd love to come back someday. Thanks so much, Joyce.

I really like the dessert choices here. The menu changes from day to day, and it's a great, quiet spot to eat.
