The view was spectacular, and I loved how peaceful it was.

For 15500 a night, this is one of the cheapest and best places in zomba. It's a small, quiet lodge up on the hill, with a view over Zomba town. The rooms were clean, fresh food was available, and the staff were really friendly. There are only 6 rooms.

The food took forever to come. Two of us ordered prawns, while the third ordered chicken because she has a seafood allergy. We suspect the prawns and chicken were cooked in the same pan, since she started having an allergic reaction after just one spoonful. When we asked the chef to explain, he seemed uninterested and was nearly rude. With so much potential, the service was the poorest. Very disappointing.

There was no electricity, and the place looked pretty run-down. Even though I'd booked a room and told them I would arrive late, it was closed after 8.

The view of zomba city was breathtaking, and the stay was excellent and affordable. The food was fresh, and the staff were friendly.
