Pierre Mundo Imperial Riviera Diamante Acapulco

I’ve stayed here more than once and will come back. Even with Otis and John, the hotel’s beauty is still there, with lovely gardens, kind staff, and everything you need on site. The food was great as always, and the waiters were thoughtful and happy to handle requests. The Kids play team really stood out this time: they’re fun, energetic, polite, and keep adding activities for children. Families get a lot out of that, while couples without kids can relax too. There’s something for everyone, including ocean view massages, and even guests working can find space with an ocean view. They also make birthday guests feel special with restaurant details, and kids are treated specially wherever they go.

The rooms are a little dated and plain, but they had strong AC, a mini fridge, toiletries, a roomy balcony, and were cleaned every day. We were offered a paid upgrade, though even from our spot on the side of the building we had a lovely beach view, so I didn’t think it was necessary. The staff, from reception and housekeeping to the dining servers, were kind and professional, and helped us feel welcome. The resort sits right on the beach, with food and drinks served there. There are lots of big pools at a comfortable temperature and plenty of loungers, though you might not find a shaded one. The grounds are generally beautiful and maintained, with a few areas needing attention. Food was the weak point: two restaurants were very subpar, and the pricier one was decent but not worth its prices. Still, that wasn’t enough to stop us from returning. Great value for what we paid through a third-party site. We’d definitely come again.

The hotel itself was perfect, and the service was too, especially considering how soon after hurricane Otis we visited. The food was the reason for the three stars: it was low quality and bland at every restaurant, and also way overpriced for what we got. Honestly, it was incredibly disappointing.

Parking was easy, and the food was pretty good, though breakfast items like waffles ran out fast and weren’t replenished. The beach had lots of different things going on, and there are cats outside the hotel. My back hurt every other day because the beds were incredibly hard, so they’re not good if you sleep on your stomach. Also, the Disney channel on the TV didn’t work. :)
