Hotel Versalles Inn

Nice.

The receptionist was warm and helpful, and the hotel was quiet. It looks presentable from the street. There’s no parking, so we left our SUV outside; it was fine, and Municipal Police trucks are parked there too, which made us feel the cars were safe. We paid 900 pesos for a single room, though it had two double beds. It was clean, but badly worn, with very old, stained sheets and beds that smelled dirty. I didn’t spot rodents or cockroaches, but the room felt like a cheap tenement. At that price, I’d have been glad with something decent. We were only passing through and didn’t know the city.

The location is the one good thing about Hotel Versalles. The rest was lacking. I’d look elsewhere if you need a comfortable bed, daily deep cleaning, prompt attention, or a smooth check-in. None of that was there.

We were on a school trip with about 40 people, and every room was filthy. Cockroaches, both alive and dead, were in most of them. After we were moved, we found mouse droppings as soon as we lifted the blankets. Some rooms smelled awful, and the sheets had hair all over them and were dirty. I couldn’t sleep comfortably, worrying an animal might crawl on me. I don’t recommend staying here. Management needs to pay much more attention to cleanliness and service.
