Luis was such a thoughtful host that he even helped us get a bedside lamp we loved. After meeting him at breakfast, he called the store in Tonalá where he had bought them and arranged for us to purchase one that was in stock. He also drove us around to see real estate we might be interested in, took us to Tonalá to pick up the lamp, then dropped us at our next destination. Warm, generous, and incredibly helpful, he made us feel how much care goes into this place. Estrellitas Bed & Breakfast is right in the heart of Ajijic. The property is beautifully kept, impeccably clean, and decorated in Mexican style. We kept extending our stay by two nights until we finally had to leave. It’s a charming, quaint place, and we’ll absolutely be back.

The food was incredible, and the place itself was beautiful. What meant the most, though, was the innkeepers’ compassion. We had a delightful 11-night stay at Estrellita’s in February 2026. The location worked well for us, near the lake, LCS, and central Ajijic, and management helped with travel arrangements and local recommendations. All the staff speak Spanish and English, and they were warm, friendly, and responsive. The facilities are lovely, rooms clean, and beds comfortable. We especially enjoyed the outstanding breakfasts and community breakfast, where we met so many fascinating people. We’ll gladly stay there again. Colleen & Tom

Our stay isn’t even over, with a few nights still to go, but I had to write this now. The area is peaceful and lovely to explore, and the mattresses may be the best I’ve ever slept on. Booking communication was excellent. The B&B is a truly unique, beautiful place, charming and quaint, with thoughtful decor, gorgeous gardens, and lovely details everywhere. After staying here, I’m not sure I’ll enjoy a standard hotel again.

The cafe on site is 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌. It’s the best place to stay in Ajijic, with a great location, lovely staff, and beautiful, very comfortable rooms. Every room has AC, reverse osmosis water, an ensuite bathroom, streaming TV, and a safe, and the beds are VERY comfy. Authentic Mexican decor comes with modern comforts.
