We spent New Year’s here with our four-year-old and had a great time. The property is gorgeous, the rooms and pool are nice, and there’s a duck pond. My daughter may have given the ducks waaaaay too much bread, to be honest. The owner was very engaged, and we got fresh Chinese dumplings and tea in the morning. It’s isolated and relaxing. Hope to come back soon.

I spent 17 days at Villa Tortugas, and it refreshed my spirit. My daughter booked the stay, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Cecilia greeted me with so much warmth and real care, and made sure I had everything I needed, including WiFi in my unit, which was a good distance from the main house. The grounds were a highlight. There are nearly 200 coconut trees and lovely paths, and one morning I walked almost four miles just taking in the natural surroundings. The next day I relaxed by the pool and talked with Cecilia about her journey to owning this beautiful place. I’ll let her tell her inspiring story when you visit. It took me two months to write this because I didn’t want to rush and do Cecilia or her accommodations justice. I’d come back even just to walk the beautiful grounds. Thank you, Cecilia, and I wish you well as you build a tropical oasis for your visitors.

We felt very comfortable in this beautiful bungalow, a lovely choice for anyone who values nature and quiet. It’s easy to reach places for day trips from here. Cecilia, the owner, is empathetic and helpful. Maybe we’ll return.

The staff were wonderful. Cecilia wasn’t on-site, but supported us by SMS with all the information we needed to explore the area, and Juan helped with everything we needed at the property. Villa Tortugas was an ideal beginning to our Mexico trip, in a remote but central spot near main attractions like Akumal beach, with everything we could ask for. We’d choose it again anytime.

This place was awesome, in a beautiful location with a nice pool. We had a medium bungalow with beds and a small kitchen that was fully equipped: toaster, coffee machine, plenty of fresh water, breakfast waiting in the fridge, juice, and cutlery.
