Hostal Cuija Coyoacán

I found an odd insect on the bed. After looking at Google Images and asking ChatGPT, it seemed to be a bed bug. I told the staff right away, but they insisted it wasn't one. Neither of us is an expert, so I decided to trust the AI's assessment and leave early for peace of mind. They didn't offer a refund or any compensation. When I was moved to another room for the night, there were NO BED SHEETS, so I had to sleep directly on the original mattress and pillow. That felt unprofessional. The whole situation showed very little concern for guest comfort or ability to handle a problem. I hope the hostel takes this seriously and responds better in future.

The location was good and the host was pretty nice, but I wouldn't stay here again. The bathrooms were really dirty, with people's things left in the showers, and I'm pretty sure a group of men were living there. The bed was hard as a rock and left my hip hurting like I'd slept on the floor on my side. I also had terrible allergies. I think the blankets were dusty, though I'm not sure.

Everyone was so nice, and the place is beautiful. The lovely terrace could use a bit more shade, and I wish the door buzzer weren't so loud since my room was right over it. Apart from that, I really couldn't ask for more. Another amazing hostel in Mexico. I'll stay here again if I'm back in Coyoacan.

They were still waiting for me when I arrived at 1 am, which was great. The rooms are clean, roomy enough, and come in different sizes depending on how many beds they have. Breakfast is free from 7 to 10 am, and there are computers, WiFi, and a living room. The location is great for getting around by any kind of transport, with Coyoacán's Metro station about a 10-minute walk away.
