The grounds, pool, food, and amenities were all wonderful, and the owners and staff made the stay feel special. We arrived after dark, so waking up to the setting was a spectacular first look at Alamos. El Pedregal was my introduction to the town, and I couldn't recommend it more.

Right beside a public trail on the edge of town, this is a handy base for birding, hikes, or cycling. The feeders and water features bring in a nice variety of wildlife, and the saltwater pool feels great. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good, and the rooms had strong Wi-Fi. There's also a gas barbecue with grilling tools available.

The walks are close by, and the pool area is beautiful. The showers were very good too. But the staff were rude, and breakfast was both terrible and expensive. Rave music went on until 6 a.m., so there was none of the peace and quiet you'd expect for 2300. At that price, it should cost half as much. Total rip off.

David, the co-owner, took us birding and was a great guide. The food was delicious, and the staff were excellent. The private cabins are lovely, and the resort is very well designed. I highly recommend staying here and going out with David.

The staff were beyond wonderful, and the nearby park has excellent hiking. It was a beautiful, completely restful vacation. Loved the people here!
