The front desk staff, Bersate (sorry if I've spelled that wrong) and Jessy, were excellent, and they helped us arrange tours. Our large deluxe king room was spotless and comfortable, with a nice view. We could use kayaks and paddleboards for free, and enjoyed delicious cocktails by the pool and on the decks. The four-hour private sunset BBQ boat tour was a great way to see the lake and cenotes, and the BBQ was amazing. We also took a tour to Mahahual, which I really don't recommend. It takes you far from Bacalar, lasts all day, and most of that time is in the car or at the restaurant where they drop you off. It wasn't worth it. That's our only complaint, and it's about a tour the hotel recommended, not the hotel itself. We loved our stay and highly recommend the place.

The relaxed feel around the hotel, pools, and lagoon decking was lovely. It wasn't too busy, and we could easily have stayed for days. The food was very good too, especially the shrimp taco and smash burger, and the margaritas were stunning. We got a room upgrade overlooking the lagoon, an incredible view to wake up to each morning. There was also a sweet honeymoon message and chocolates during our stay. From check-in, when I think Betza helped us, the staff were so friendly, helpful, and attentive. We absolutely loved Cristalino as the perfect beginning to our honeymoon in Mexico, and only wish we'd had longer. Thank you, Cristalino staff, for making that first part so memorable.
Free kayaks were a great way to enjoy the lagoon quietly and responsibly. We also appreciated how the hotel seemed to respect the animals living around the property and in the water. Please treat the lagoon and wildlife with care too, avoid sunscreen before swimming, and don't disturb the animals. The hotel sits right on the lagoon, with a stunning view that made us relax as soon as we arrived. It's peaceful but practical for exploring, easy to reach Bacalar by car and convenient for the highway and longer day trips. Everything was clean, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Little things like warm greetings, holding doors, opening the parking gate in the evening, and helping us book activities made us feel welcome. We really enjoyed the restaurant as well. We'd highly recommend it to anyone after a clean, peaceful, welcoming place with an unforgettable lagoon view.
The lagoon view was amazing, right beside cenote esmeralda, and it was a great spot for swimming. Our stay was flawless. The room was lovely, with a very comfortable bed and pillows that made for a perfect night's sleep. The shower felt like a private spa, with its rainfall head and high-end amenities. Breakfast had a wonderful spread of fresh, high-quality options and made-to-order specialties. We also had a fantastic lunch by the pool and lagoon deck, with a creative menu featuring local food. The staff were friendly and always helpful. Top-tier service and comfort, highly recommended.
The location is very nice and the services were superb. Because of the rain, I ordered room service, and the beef flank steak and tuna tartare starter were incredibly tasty. My room, though, smelled strongly of damp, and the floor was so dirty my feet turned black. At check-in, the receptionist quoted 5200 pesos for one room and 7000 for the other. I left to compare similar hotels, then checked online and found the same room for 2179 pesos plus a fee, 2600 pesos total. When I went back and explained the comparison, she said she couldn't match it and told me to book online. I did it right away and had a room ten minutes later, with excellent service. That's why I gave three stars.
