The beds were so comfortable, and the patios catch a lovely breeze while you look out over the lagoon. It’s close to town without being right in the center. The receptionist was a huge help arranging our massages and tours. A great stay in Bacalar.

We rented e-bikes, so getting to and from town, about five minutes away, was easy. I felt safe here, and the front desk was helpful. It’s a no-frills place, but the bed was comfortable enough for our seven days, the AC worked well, and the WiFi was good about 90% of the time. I was looking for a bed, AC, WiFi and a shower, and the price made this a good choice for a budget stay.

We stayed as a family in August, and the owner was kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and modern, and you can take the kayaks out on the Lagoon for free. Prices here are reasonable too, especially compared with the other hotels along the Lagoon, which seemed overpriced to me. I’d recommend it to families and other travelers.

Breakfast felt like eating at home, with excellent traditional dishes. The lake looks especially lovely in the morning from a front room with a deck. Service was very good, and I’ll come back.

The cozy rooms and direct access to the water made this stay memorable. Service was impeccable, and the hotel’s lakeside setting in Bacalar really took my breath away.
