Casa Bonita Hotel & Luxury Residence

The breakfast was great, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It's a cute hotel, too. A shoutout to Julian and Eduardo, who were especially courteous and helpful.

We planned to stay one night after booking at the last minute, but ended up remaining at Casa Bonita for seven. Eduardo was helpful, and the staff in general were very friendly. The room was clean, and we could use the pool, gym, and parking. Breakfast didn't change from day to day, but it was tasty and filling. We also loved the cocktails at the restaurant. If you've got a car and want the flexibility to get to Oaxaca Center whenever you like, I'd highly recommend staying here.

The next day I asked for a manager. She offered to move us, but we were leaving, and she also offered a spa treatment that we couldn't use since we were moving on. Looking at other reviews, it seems we may have been given the worst room. It was the most expensive room we've paid for, and the experience left us feeling let down. The hotel promised more than it delivered for us, and the time and money are gone. Check that you've got a good room. We arrived tired, looking forward to relaxing and having our welcome drink. Instead, we were handed a key and sent to a room that didn't look like the pictures. The bathroom felt worn and dated, and there was hair all over the floor. Their social media showed luxurious new organic products, but they weren't there. I had to ask for towels, a bathmat, the Wi-Fi code, and where to find the bar and restaurant. I also asked for water, which never came. We just wanted to shower and enjoy the place, but couldn't. I expected more because of how they market themselves online as a luxury stay, with social media suggesting something special. When I told the person at reception we weren't happy, he seemed completely uninterested. We'd planned to eat there, but went out instead because we didn't want to spend more and be disappointed again. I could go on.

The garage is tiny, and the hotel is pretty far from the center. I stayed two nights and noticed the desk lady's bad attitude. She seemed annoyed when I asked several times about my room and the garage because I needed to get my car out.
