The leafy interior is pleasant and the place is quiet and calm. The man working here was very kind and helpful. But those pillows were awful. I stayed three nights and barely slept any of them because they were so hard, like they had rocks inside. I was alone in a room with three beds, so I tried all three pillows, and each was bad in its own way. My sheets were 100% polyester, too, and the blankets on top were really dirty and dusty. I’m sure they aren’t washed between guests, and maybe haven’t been washed in years. The hammock in the common area smelled strongly of sweat and needs a wash now and then. I know it’s budget accommodation, but there’s a lot they could improve.

As a woman traveling solo, I felt very safe here. It’s peaceful, full of plants, and close to everything without being too noisy. The rooms are basic but comfortable, prices are affordable, and the people are kind. I can’t recommend this hostel enough. Backpackers looking for somewhere in Oaxaca should stay here.

We had a spacious room for four and stayed about four nights, and were really happy with it. The patio and small garden were lovely touches, and there’s also a nice rooftop terrace. One of the best showers we’ve had in Mexico. We loved our stay and definitely recommend it.

It’s quiet, peaceful, and beautiful, with a lovely garden, spacious rooms, and a convenient location. The prices are very affordable. I liked it enough to stay for over a month. Alan and Martin on staff were friendly and helpful, too.

The sound of rain made it so lovely to fall asleep here. I also really liked the architecture and rooftop deck. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at on my travels. I’ll come back!
