Hostal Pochon

The location is great, very close to the centre, and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is good, though it isn't a buffet. The atmosphere feels trusting, with people leaving phones around and rooms unlocked, but the place itself felt really dirty to me. Room corners were stained, the bathrooms smelled bad all the time, and the toilets and showers offered very little privacy. The bed was uncomfortable.

There was a nice courtyard lounge to hang out in, and the hostel had computers and everything I needed. It was quiet and friendly, with a decent location and good price. Most of the staff were volunteers, a really friendly bunch, and they cooked up a lovely breakfast.

The breakfast was the best we've had on our trip, the beds were comfortable, and the place was clean. My wife and I, along with the other guests there, all thought Hostal Pochon was great value. The location was fantastic, and the lounge TV had Netflix. One night I lost a substantial amount of money from my pocket after a heavy night out. I was panicking the next morning, thinking it was gone, when my wife came up and told me the cleaners had found it and turned it in. That kind of honesty says a lot about everyone at Hostal Pochon. We were seriously impressed and I'd highly recommend it.

We'd only booked one night in a private room, but liked the hostel's vibe enough to want to stay longer. Staff spoke English and were really helpful with arranging transport and suggesting things to see around town.
