The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well, but the room felt a bit run down. The water pressure was okay, though the shower never got hot, and the toilet needed a few flushes. There were chips on the floor beside one side of the bed. Also, there wasn't a light switch by the bed, so I had to get up to turn it off.

There was no cell service or Wi-Fi, and the Wi-Fi still hadn't been reset the next day. The one staff member on duty that afternoon was rude. She gave us the wrong room without apologizing, and wouldn't help my 80-year-old mother carry her suitcase upstairs, even though there's no elevator. So disappointed. They don't seem to care about their guests.

The internet was unexpectedly fast, even good enough to stream a movie. The owners also let us use their fridge and leave our suitcases at reception after checkout. It's a quiet, safe-feeling place where you can sleep late, except on Saturday night when there's a fiesta outside, which the owners can't control. The people were caring and polite. Great value for the price, five out of five for the staff and stay.

I've stayed here three times since 2018, and it's been good value with nice staff. The place is pretty and clean, and I like the firm bed. Hot water is available at certain times. It's one block from the busy Mercado de Noviembre and close to zócalo. Parking is a block away, with a spacious, secure spot.
