Hotel Naomi

The location is great, very close to the lake, and the place was extremely clean. Honestly, the cleanest place I've stayed in all of Mexico. The staff are nice, and Rafael speaks very good English. The Wi-Fi was strong, YouTube worked well on the TV, and it smelled really nice, which is rare in Mx because of the humidity. There's also a lovely breakfast brunch place close by. Personally, the room felt a bit too small, and the window faced a hall, so there was no daylight. We only stayed one night, and it suited our needs completely. I'd recommend it for a short stay, basically just to sleep.

It's a relatively small hotel, so there isn't breakfast or anything like that. But there are lots of breakfast places nearby, and it's still a really good place to stay in bacalar. The rooms are big and clean. The bathrooms are small but clean and comfortable. I'd recommend it.

There isn't a 24-hour reception, so keep that in mind if you're planning to arrive very early or late. Otherwise, no complaints. It's one block from the Centro of bacalar, and the place seems safe enough for walking. We walked 18 minutes from the ADO bus terminal and 30 minutes from the Sailing Lagoon tour we did from Casa China. The rooms are modern, built above what looks like a home. They're spacious and clean, with tinted windows and blinds for privacy, hot water, fridges, and a TV with netflix. The Wi-Fi was good too.

What a terrible experience. We arrived at night with three kids, including a baby, and the tenant had cancelled our reservation even though we'd confirmed the agreement just an hour earlier.
