Hotel Pancho Villas

The kayaks were free to use and the wifi was okay, but I really wouldn’t recommend staying here. It’s overpriced and old, and although it has potential, it isn’t there yet. Construction is going on now and made it feel like staying at a work site. The rooms were old and partly dirty, with marks on the walls and a dirty shower curtain, though the sheets were clean. It was noisy at night, and lagoon access was through another hotel, where the chairs and floor were dirty. We gave up on breakfast after the first morning because there wasn’t much choice and it didn’t feel inviting.

Our stay at Pancho villas was incredible. The hosts were amazing, and we were pleasantly surprised to find continental breakfast and coffee included. Their full breakfast was delicious too. It’s a newer hotel with decor that’s tasteful and impressive, but still simple. We really enjoyed our time and would highly recommend it. Sorry, the earlier part of this review was about DayTour! Omar and Enrique were amazing. They taught us to sail, showed us around the lagoon, and kept the trip fun and informative. There was great food and drinks on board, plus plenty of time to swim. We’ll definitely come back and highly recommend them.

I was exhausted, weak, and uncomfortable when I arrived, and just wanted somewhere that felt like home. Johanna at the front desk was kind, cheerful, and accommodating, and I couldn’t have asked for a better host or hotel. The rooms have a nice style, the food was delicious, and I felt comfortable. The rest of the family was great too. There is construction next door, but it didn’t bother me much. Thanks, Johanna and fam!

I loved how much they care about the environment. The lovely wood pieces around the property came from trees that fell in storms and such, rather than trees being cut down, and they tell guests how to look after the lagoon while visiting. We spent a lot of time at their lake access, just a short walk away. The hotel has strong wifi, and the family running it were so welcoming and ready to help with whatever we needed. The rooms are exquisite, with vegetation all around the property, and sometimes toucans in the nearby trees! My boyfriend and I wanted somewhere to relax by the lagoon, and this was perfect. I’d move in here forever.
