We had a great time swimming in the beautiful lagoon and taking out the paddle boards and kayak. The rooms and the rest of the property were clean and lovely, with lots of care put into the details. We especially liked the architecture. The staff were wonderful to talk with and gave us local recommendations while taking good care of us. Mikasa lagoon hotel was an amazing stay, and we’ll be back. Thank you so much, Mikasa staff!

The quiet setting is a real plus, even though the hotel is close to the center, just a short 80-peso taxi ride away. I loved staying here for Bacalar, since there’s so much to enjoy without leaving the hotel. The private beach was my favorite part: peaceful, clean, and beautifully designed, with comfortable sunbeds, free SUPs and kayaks, and room to relax all day. Sitting on the beach sofa at sunrise was unforgettable. The breakfast restaurant is stylish and faces the lagoon. Rooms are spacious and lovely, with a huge, fun shower, and both the reception and restaurant staff were incredibly sweet and kind. I truly loved my stay and highly recommend it.

Breakfast is included, with coffee, fruit, and eggs, nothing fancy. The rooms are clean and spacious. What really earned the five stars for me was the staff. They were super friendly, provided great service, and accommodated all our requests.

The manager and everyone on staff made us feel welcome and were incredibly kind. This is the best place in Bacalar for me. I’d absolutely stay here again if I return, and highly recommend a visit.

Everything is immaculate under the new management. The staff are laid-back but attentive, and you can see the care and daily upkeep in the rooms, beach beds, and everything else. It all feels fresh and like new. Fantastic place.
