The common areas were nice, and everyone on staff was really friendly. Our room was cute, clean, and nice. After checkout, they let us leave our bags for the whole day and use a shower and toilet at no charge. I'd stay here again.

The owner was a gent, and a longtime Bacalar resident. He set up a boat trip around the spectacular lake with an informative guide, including taxi drop-off and pickup at a fair price. The room was spacious and clean, with towels, a fan, and AC, all for a reasonable rate. The main plaza was a five-minute walk away, with plenty of food options.

The facilities felt basic and a little old, but the value for money was good. The staff were kind, Wi-Fi worked well, and the rooms had both AC and a fan. It's about as close to the center as you can get.

After a rough night of travel, Ricardo's hospitality made things much better. We got in around 2am and found reception closed, so we called the number. The owner, Ricardo, came racing down to let us in and was very accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed.
