Lise gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home right away. The atmosphere at Zensus was cozy and genuine, and the hospitality was outstanding. Of all the places we stayed in Mexico, these were by far the kindest and most attentive hosts. They were always available for questions or recommendations. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay, and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bacalar!

Jose, who works with Ines, was incredibly helpful and knew a lot about restaurants, shops, and beaches. The three cottages we booked were all great, and Samsara beach club access with complimentary kayaks was a nice bonus. The location was great too. Ines handled the booking and was quick to respond to our texts and calls beforehand. The Wi-Fi wasn’t great, but we didn’t really need it.

The garden and pool were very nice, and breakfast had lots of options. The showers were warm too. Staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke English really well. Great hotel, I’d definitely recommend staying here!

The little bungalows were so sweet, and the room was clean. Ines was lovely, friendly, and very helpful. I wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend!

The people working here are VERY friendly and always willing to help. Our room was spacious and had an air conditioner that worked well. The bathroom was roomy too, and the shower had a view outside of some ants and frogs. The downside is there’s no lake access from the property. You have to get into a restaurant or hotel and buy a drink for access, or walk or take a cab to the center. It’s a 30-minute walk or a $4 cab ride, and the parks there are just docks with no beds to relax on.
