Montage Los Cabos

The beach loungers with umbrellas and service are lovely, and the resort provides kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkel gear at no charge. I've been to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico a couple of times and stayed at Montage Los Cabos each visit. I've had a great time every time and really love staying here. I have autism and ocd, so how clean the rooms are makes a big difference for me. I feel like I can truly relax here.

We celebrated a birthday during our October 3-5 weekend at Montage, and the staff did more than expected to make it special. The private beach and cove were great for snorkeling, and the resort supplied gear and water sports equipment at no extra charge. It costs more than other resorts, but the service and amenities feel unmatched. Details were handled thoughtfully, from the landscaping to the in-room toiletries. I’d recommend Montage to anyone looking for a luxurious, personal stay, and I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else.

The people are what made Montage Los Cabos stand out for us. Every interaction felt warm, genuine, and attentive. “Super Mario” Arriaga, Director of Room Operations, made sure everything went smoothly and felt personal. Our butlers, Indy and Carlos, were always reachable by text and made each day easy. The concierge team was excellent, including Flor Morales, who was so lovely. Many of them have Les Clefs d’Or certification. Alberto and Demis, the golf cart drivers, were especially helpful and kind, which meant a lot with my wife Jackie’s mobility limitations. Nemecio took great care of us at the Spa, and Ivan by the pool even patiently taught me a little Spanish. We spent four nights and five days here, and it’s the nicest resort we’ve ever stayed at. We’ve been fortunate to visit Four Seasons, Rosewood, Ritz-Carlton, Fairmont, and others, but Montage is in a class of its own. Santa Maria Bay is spectacular, with clear water, soft sand, and a pristine beach where you can swim. The peaceful cove is beautiful, and the November weather was ideal, 85 degrees and dry. Our room was spacious, serene, and luxurious, with a private plunge pool, outdoor shower, and spa-like bathroom. We loved all the food. Marea by day was fresh and beautifully presented. At Marea by Night, I had one of the best ribeye steaks I’ve had anywhere. Mezcal served outstanding food with impeccable service in a warm, elegant setting. Talay had a cool atmosphere under lantern-lit trees and fantastic Thai dishes. The resort is undeniably expensive, but it’s a wonderful place to make lasting memories. We can’t wait to return.

This place is a beautiful paradise, and the staff are so friendly and respectful. They’re what take it from good to great. I can’t praise them enough.
