Villa Bambú - Your Jungle Hideaway at Aldea Zama

The apartment was nicely furnished, with a handy kitchen, large table, and big balcony. The pool had warm water, and entry by code meant no key to keep track of. We came with a big group for a few days while visiting Chichen, Coba, cenotes, and other places. It's easy to get to, close to super Chedraui and the Tulum archeologic zone, and there are several local food restaurants nearby. The introductory SMS with a Google Maps code was useful too. A lot of things were broken. The jacuzzi didn't work, and 2 out of 3 AC units in our apartment didn't work properly. We found several cockroaches in the room, the drain was clogged and slow, and we couldn't raise the blinds because the cable was broken. There was also a dead moth stuck to the curtains by the balcony. Communication with the owner and manager was hard, and every problem seemed to get put off until “tomorrow”.

Aua De Mar was easily the best food we had in Tulum. The presentation, atmosphere, and service were all fantastic, and the tacos were the best we've ever had, unique but still authentically Mexican with delicious flavors. We'll definitely return while we're in Tulum. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for an incredible meal at a reasonable price, which is rare in Tulum.

Kendo and Alain made our first visit to Tulum one we’ll remember. The food and service were the best we found there. Don’t miss stopping in.

A lovely, modern place in a good area, close to the center. I’d definitely recommend it.
