Villa del Arco

The resort is a calmer place to stay, and we're older, so we enjoyed the buffet and the relaxed atmosphere around the property. Villa Del Arco has friendly staff, good food and service, and lovely views of the beach. Downtown and the marina are about 1-1/2 miles away, and a quick Uber or taxi gets you to the heart of Cabo in under five minutes. We booked through Costco, but the Resort Credit only seemed useful for "Premium" menu items or alcohol. We also found the sales presentation wasn't worth sitting through unless you're seriously considering a timeshare. At the sister property Villa Del Palmar, we tried the Surf/Turf mini option at the Carbon Grill. The steak and lobster were amazing, and the Palmar's dinner shows were fun nightly events if you don't want to go out into downtown Cabo.

A little late with this review, but we stayed with our family of five last spring break. The rooms are showing some age and a few knobs were loose, though they were very spacious and clean. The pool and resort grounds were lovely, and the beach was within walking distance of downtown. We chose All-Inclusive and were very happy with the food and restaurant choices. Breakfast was a highlight every day. We liked our pool server, Esquivel, so much that we tried to get loungers in his section each day. He worked hard and was incredibly kind and attentive to my wife and daughters. We will probably make this trip again.

Villa Group is top notch, and the location is perfect. The service, rooms, food, restaurants, and overall location were all great. I also love the quieter Villa La Estancia next door, where I've stayed at both places. Last time I stayed next door at Villa 1306 at Villa Estancia, it was the best vacation ever: great views, peace and quiet, and a huge two-bedroom, three-full-bathroom villa at an amazing price. Highly recommend.

The location is secure and away from the city crowds, but the facilities and service could be better. Guests don't get a real sauna or steam room, and have to pay for the day spa. The breakfast buffet and restaurant menus had no real vegetarian or Asian options. Staff didn't take end-to-end responsibility for my booking issue and kept passing me around. They also seemed too focused on upselling other packages. Don't sign up for the presentation, it's just a sales tactic to pressure you into buying a timeshare at their hotels. You're better off going around the world and paying for what you want.
