We ended up with several bad experiences, so next time we’re in Campeche we’ll choose another hotel. The window in our room faced a stairwell that stayed lit all night, and the translucent shades let in too much light for sleeping. We were told we’d have to pay for an extra roll of toilet paper. Apparently a family of five gets just one small roll for two days. One of the desk clerks was rude and unfriendly. Beware!

The location is great, and that’s about the only positive I can offer. The walls are incredibly thin, so you hear conversations, toilet flushes, loud shower noise like torrential rain, cleaning and plenty more. The bed springs poked into my back, too. The grounded outlets didn’t work, including the one for the AC. I’ve had better stays elsewhere in Campeche for a third of the price.

You get what you pay for here, and the price is fair. It’s fine for a night or two. No one spoke English, even when I needed information about the tours offered at reception. They also rent cars, and from what I could understand, the prices seemed good.

Really ugly hotel: old, dirty, no WiFi or elevator, poor service, a noisy broken bed frame, a worn, dirty mattress and a nasty bathroom. You can find a better hotel for the same price in the same area.
