The rooftop patio is a comfortable place to kick back and relax. The location is perfect, close to the famous ave chapu, convenience stores, a café, gyms, and plenty more. I had an amazing time and met wonderful people who made my experience in Gdl even better. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

After travel problems made me arrive late, I called around 9pm and nobody answered. I got there by taxi at about 10:30, but no one was there to let me in, so the taxi had to take me around to find a hotel. I called the next morning and they wanted to charge me for the missed night, while saying the room was still available. But when I showed up, they’d changed their minds, and I had to find somewhere else. A really bad experience, and I don’t recommend it. P.S. About the proprietor’s comments below, I did complain to the staff about how I was treated. I don’t see how I acted scandalously or offensively. I guess they think slandering unhappy guests helps them save face? Nice.

People come here from nearly all over the world, and the staff at Hostal Casa Colores make you feel at home. They’re always welcoming and treat you well. The location is very good, and it’s the best refuge in Guadalajara. Super recommended.

The guests were nice, and it was pretty quiet. Everyone was friendly to gringos, meaning English speakers, and it’s close to Colonia Americana. During my nine days there, I joined someone for their birthday and had homemade food, met someone who had just started a new life in GDL, and made a friend who took me to a fun bar nearby.
