My room, #8, felt badly outdated and like it hadn't been maintained in ages. Even one star seems too generous. It's more of a motel than a hotel. The location is central, which is convenient, but also noisy. The windows are just glass shutters, like in Cuba, so you hear what's happening outside as if you're on the street. To me, a fair price would be around 20 USD.

It's a great place to sleep, with a lovely staff and working air conditioning. The location is about as good as it gets. The low price reflects that the hotel isn't particularly well maintained.

I've been coming to La Paz nearly every year with my whole family, and we stay here for the location. The rooms aren't the most attractive, but they're comfortable, and the AC works. We once ordered tacos from down the street at 2 a.m.; someone at the front desk was there to hand us our food, which was thoughtful. We've never had anything stolen or had that kind of problem.

For the price, it's hard to beat the location, and street parking was no problem. The man who's there most of the time is nice and helpful, though one woman who sometimes works there really shouldn't be in that job. She's not friendly at all. My room smelled bad at first, but airing it out helped.

We had a balcony, but no table or chairs, and the hotel sign buzzed all night right outside our room. There was just one glass in the room; the desk had no others. Water was out on every floor except the main one, though we were on the fourth. In the morning, the shower was either cold or very hot, since it was impossible to get warm water by mixing hot and cold. There was no parking, and we spent two hours searching for our rental car. I wouldn't return.
