On arrival, my room had mould, dust, and broken furniture. I asked to move, but the front desk kept giving me the runaround. They said the new room would be ready in a few hours, then made excuses when the time came. This went on for two days before it actually happened. The property feels dated and poorly maintained, and badly needs an upgrade. Most of the breakfast mugs were chipped, the nice pool had several missing tiles, and the bar looked unrepaired since opening. I appreciated the conversation and apology from the General Manager, but almost every fix came with another problem. The new room was cleaner, but some lights still didn't work. I was given complimentary late checkout, but staff hadn't been told. With the DND sign up and the deadbolt on, two cleaners still tried to force their way into my room while I was asleep. As a woman traveling alone, that was scary. Now I understand why so many guests seemed to be on business trips of just 2-3 days. This place isn't for a vacation and falls below the usual Marriott standard. Front desk staff communicate well enough for routine things, but handle problems badly and overcomplicate simple fixes. The location is far from anything worth doing in the city. I wouldn't recommend it.

Breakfast was a strong point, with plenty to choose from and some Mexican dishes to try. The pool is pleasant too, and having someone at the pool bar was a nice extra. I mostly got around by taxi, and most places took about 15 minutes to reach. The hotel seemed better suited to a work trip or a short, purpose-driven stay than a holiday. I also missed having a water heater in the room. For a four-star hotel with a coffee machine, I expected one.

The bed was comfortable, breakfast had a good selection, and the staff were nice. Getting around was easy, and we used Uber most of the time. The location works well for business and maybe for exploring the city, though it's a bit far from the beach. We did have a clogged sink. Someone came to clean it after we asked, but it was still clogged the next day.

Emiliano at the front desk was especially helpful with our large group and was always pleasant. Everyone we met was friendly, and the staff made the stay a great experience. Definitely recommend. :)

The breakfast was a horror story. The staff there were unhelpful, incredibly slow, and unkind. On the plus side, check-in was super quick, and the reception guys were amazing and competent. It's a classic Marriott, though a bit far from the center.
