Crown Paradise Club Cancun All Inclusive

The resort has a lovely view and lots of features for kids, and for the price it’s a good option. We did enjoy our stay, though the old advice that you get what you pay for felt accurate. I’m not sure I’d book a Cancun trip through Costco Travel again. We waited a long time for elevators because there are only three, and one was out of service for most of our seven-day visit. Some guests were loud in the halls at night. At the main pool, a hotel towel went missing from our beach chair, and they still wanted to charge us for it. After that, we didn’t leave towels unattended. Our room wasn’t ready at the stated 3:00 p.m. check-in. When I asked at about 3:10, they said it would be another 10 minutes because they had many rooms to clean. Delays happen, but after a long travel day, that answer wasn’t reassuring. The first room service meal took 1 hour and 50 minutes, though we’d been told 50 minutes. On our last day, we called 4-5 times to order breakfast to the room, but no one answered, so we gave up and went to the buffet.

We just got back, and it was absolutely beautiful. The kids had a great time, and the staff were nice. Mellissa from the kids paradise and the night shows was amazing. My kids loved her, especially my two-year-old. I’d definitely recommend this resort to families of all ages.

The beds were awful, and the pillows were even worse. Still, we had a great week, and they were very accommodating with our group of 17. The resort is family friendly and easy to get around. The food was great, and the service excellent. We especially liked the French restaurant. Wilberto was our server, and he was hilarious, friendly, and really efficient. Carlos and his pool bar crew were amazing too. By the second day they knew everyone’s names and drink orders.

The location is perfect, and with a few changes this place could really shine. As it is, it feels more like a lower-budget resort. We were part of a large group, and thankfully the hotel could fit us after our other plans fell through. The hotel is older, but the rooms and hallways were kept clean and maintained, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were always friendly. The beach was beautiful in December. Food and entertainment were the weak spots. The main buffet was honestly the worst I’ve had. Breakfast at the Italian restaurant was decent, but lunch was hit or miss, so we mostly got by on chips, fries, or sushi. We skipped the buffet at dinner. The Mexican restaurant was great, and the steakhouse was more of a grill house, though the burger and chicken were both good. We also really enjoyed the adults-only French restaurant. My French onion soup and salmon were delicious. The reservation system was a pain. You have to set an alarm for 7:50 a.m. just to get a spot right at 8, and large families can’t book together across different rooms. It needs a redesign. I’d also love a proper coffee bar where staff serve coffee and snacks, maybe with ice cream, so you don’t have to go into the buffet for some. A better guest experience would help bring people back.
