Nomads Hotel, Hostel & Rooftop Pool

The welcoming, community feel is what keeps bringing me back to Nomads Hotel & Hostel. Fernando deserves a mention for the care and professionalism he puts into guests’ stays, and Arturo Vale’s warmth and upbeat attitude really stick with you. I’ve traveled often between the United States and Latin America and stayed in plenty of hotels and hostels. Nomads is one of the rare places that reliably goes beyond what I expect. It’s clean, comfortable, and well cared for, with a handy base for exploring Cancún. I’d recommend it to backpackers, digital nomads, and anyone after a comfortable stay, and I’ve happily sent friends and fellow travelers here.

The rooftop stays lively past midnight, so expect some noise at night. Earplugs sorted it easily for me. The hostel has a fun atmosphere, and the volunteers made it even better, especially Nasir and Kiara. They made people feel welcome and put on great activities. Carlos also led a really informative taco tour with a bit of history about Mexican food. Ale at reception was lovely when I arrived and helped me out when I had trouble with the room safe.

The rooftop pool and bar were a favorite, and the restaurant food was great. They run lots of activities each day, so meeting people is easy if you’re traveling solo. It was super clean, the staff were really friendly, and I’m so glad I stayed here.

Arturo and Valeria were especially kind and helpful to me. The staff overall were amazing, even though I’d broken the no-smoking-in-rooms rule. Please don’t smoke in the room, though. They can’t sell it to the next guest and will keep your deposit. For a cheap stay, this place was honestly great. It has all the amenities on site, including a bar, restaurant, and spa.
