Sunset Royal Beach Resort-4 Nights, Cancún, Mexico

The place smelled bad, with mold in a lot of areas, and the only pool was tiny. The spa services were ridiculously expensive. My first-floor room had no view, and I could hear people walking around and all the noise outside. The bed and pillows were awful. There was no hand soap or hair dryer, just two Sprites and two Cokes in the fridge. My room wristband didn't work at all on the first day, so we had to wait for reception to let us in. The food was plain and had very few choices, and the entertainment was boring. At checkout, the front desk employee just cut off the wristband and said thanks, without asking how our stay was. Customer service was seriously lacking. This so-called resort needs an urgent upgrade. I wouldn't go back even for free, and wouldn't recommend it. Pay a bit more for a good resort. This isn't it.

Carlos at Acuario Restaurant, Rodrigo at Italian Restaurant, and the dining team were so careful with my Nephew and daughter's food allergies. They took real care preparing every meal, which gave us peace of mind. Our butler SARAH and her colleagues were also attentive, kind, and made sure we felt comfortable. The anniversary surprise waiting in our room touched us deeply. All the thoughtful details made us feel celebrated and gave us a lovely romantic moment. Thanks again, Sarah, for going the extra mile. Sunset Royal made our family feel safe, welcome, and valued. The service and genuine care exceeded what we expected, and we can't wait to return. ✨💙

We had five nights here, and the staff made the experience better than we imagined. Laura at SPA Sunset was wonderful and knew her work well. The relaxation massage I booked nearly put me to sleep. At Aqua grill, Valeria, Iracema, Javier, and Erika took great care of us, and the bartender was amazing too. At Capriccio, Chef Jesus, Chef Valeria, Cook Isabela, and our male waiter with glasses were great at lunch and dinner, though I didn't catch his name. The morning chef at Acuario's egg station was awesome and so kind. I'm grateful to all of them and my family had such a good time. Wishing you all well, see you soon. Regulo is the reason I'd come back. He's patient, kind, attentive, knows his stuff, and somehow keeps smiling even when he's busy. I recommend him 1000%. We stayed at Sunset Royal beach resort, about a 10 minute walk from Cancun nightlife. It's also super family friendly, and they treat you like royalty the whole time. I'd absolutely recommend it.
