Paradise Beachfront & Nightlife Heart

The beachfront view and location were the best parts for me. The staff were friendly, and the desk supplies one fresh beach towel per person each day. But room 304B was disappointing. This is a condo rental company, not a hotel, and the entrance can be tricky to find, so follow the email directions. Airport taxi sites and drivers may not recognize Paradise Beachfront and Nightlife Heart; use Salvia Condominiums as the destination. There were practical problems throughout the room. I had no hot water until I went downstairs twice to report it, and they did fix that. The air conditioner barely cooled the place, so during the day I had to keep both the curtains and bathroom door shut. The supposed king bed was two twin beds pushed together, with only a sheet and no blanket, and it wasn’t comfortable. A small coffee maker was there, but no coffee or filters, so I bought those. The replacement pot was another brand and didn’t fit properly. The phone was dead, with no cable to the wall. There was no ice in the room or lobby, and the bathroom had only bar soap, no shampoo or lotion, so I had to buy toiletries too. The towels were very old, yet a notice said damaged towels would be charged for. By the day after arrival, I was also seeing five or six ants at a time. I wouldn’t stay here again.

I need to correct my earlier complaint. The bad smell of mildew and urine, and the staff member pushing a timeshare, were at the Fives hotel in playas de Carmen, not Salvia. That person made things difficult and took our tour receipt, giving us a copy instead of the original. We ended up losing 4,500 pesos. I’m sorry for mixing up the hotels. We did stay at Salvia under my wife’s name, and that place was super nice.

The rooms were clean and well serviced, and the staff were cooperative. It’s also close to restaurants and clubs, with a nice ocean view.

We had a great view from the balcony, and the location was convenient. There’s parking right onsite too.
