Spectacular ocean views, with green surroundings along Jalisco’s Costa Alegre stretch of beach. A very exclusive hotel.

The food was amazing, and the staff were beyond perfect. This was probably one of the best run hotels I’ve seen. Jared made our stay unforgettable, and Alex from sales was stellar.

The hotel often seemed short staffed, and there was frequently nobody at the front desk. There’s no dinner service, and the internet connection is awful. We found too few beach chairs, and saw staff fold towels on chairs left empty on the beach to make them look fresh for new guests. We picked up folded towels that were still wet from previous use. The rooms have no AC, only the living room gets cold. The shower was extremely uncomfortable too, with hot water only now and then and just briefly before it switched back and forth with cold. At night, the stairway light was often off and we couldn’t see a switch, which made the door lock hard to use. The lighting outside our room was also too dim to walk safely. Room numbers were taped to the outside of the doors, and packaging tape was around the TV and other things. Those details may seem small, but together with the other problems, they made it seem like the place wasn’t ready when it opened.

A quiet seaside spot that’s hard to reach, with no real town nearby. The food was good enough.
