Every day of my week here brought something different. You can explore on foot, by car, or in a kayak, and the place is beautiful and really relaxing. The sounds of the wild helped wash away my stress. I booked through the website and saved 20% on the room. I came hoping to see a wild monkey and a crocodile, shower under a waterfall, swim in a mountain river, and drink clean water from the rock. Henry helped me do all of that. He also speaks good English, which really surprised me and made things much easier. This was my best week in the wild.

For a break from the city, this is a relaxing option. The rustic cabins have the basics, including electricity and a bathroom, and put you right in nature. You might even come across a tarantula during your stay! The view of Lake Catemaco is incredible, and the restaurant serves delicious food.

The cabin we stayed in was in perfect shape, with a fantastic view of the lagoon. The owner was attentive and easy to talk to, and both the service and food were excellent. We could really switch off from the world, with weak cell service and no Wi-Fi. Save your location before arriving, since there's no phone signal for quite a distance. You can contact a guide there to arrange tours in the community reserve. I highly recommend them for the waterfalls and natural springs. Kayaking is also available, though I didn't try it.

The views were beautiful, the rooms were lovely, and there was hot water. The people were so friendly, and the service was outstanding. Thanks to Mrs. Jovita and her niece for making us feel so welcome. We hope to come back soon. And thanks to Judith, our guide to the beautiful waterfalls.
