CoWork Hotel Campestre

One of the three rooms I rented, I think it was either 32 or 34, had a hole that let bats inside. They were leaving droppings in the room. I didn’t notice until the third day of my four-night stay. The only fix they offered was an apology and a move to another room. To me, that’s a serious hygiene and maintenance problem, and guests should be warned about it from the start. The whole roof is metal, something the hotel never mentions. It creaks depending on the weather and temperature, and the noise gets especially irritating at night. I’m a light sleeper, so it was a terrible experience.

I’d stay at Cowork Hotel again. The staff are attentive, and the place has only a few rooms, so it doesn’t feel crowded. Still, a couple of things bothered me. Room 16’s sink faucet came off and fell into the basin when I turned it on. I let the front desk know. Also, after two clients canceled their appointments that morning, I worked in the breakfast area. At about 1:00 PM, the front desk attendant politely told me the tables were only for breakfast and that using them at other times would cost extra. I hadn’t gone into the dedicated coworking areas, and I don’t think a common hotel space should come with an extra fee.

I’m leaving and won’t come back. This isn’t the employees’ fault, though. They’re clearly following instructions, so don’t reprimand them. The room wasn’t cleaned when I returned that night. At reception, I was told I hadn’t requested it. Then I arrived 20 minutes after checkout, and they gave me three minutes to get my things out. Earlier, after I returned my key, they told me I’d shut my door too hard. There was no water in the room, only a hallway dispenser with a sign saying it was for drinking, not cooking. A camera was set up beside it to watch people using it. From the start, they gave me a whole list of warnings: keep phone calls quiet even in the room, close the door gently, leave the key at reception, and keep the TV volume down. I was fed up with all the rules before I’d even settled in.

The room looks really nice, and the hotel is inside a shopping plaza, so there are plenty of lunch and dinner options nearby. I’d like them to address two noise issues: sounds from neighboring rooms carry through, and birds on the corrugated metal roof make noise all day. They should soundproof the rooms and install a lightweight roof slab.
