Casa Colonial

When you open the door to Casa Colonial, it feels like stepping into paradise. It's a peaceful little oasis with a gentle breeze, and we love returning there in the afternoon after diving to unwind by the pool or nap in the hammock. They also have a great place to rinse your gear and hang it up to dry. We just got back from our second stay. The property sits away from the main tourist area but is easy to reach from local restaurants and a grocery store. We walk everywhere and have never felt unsafe. Sarah and Bob go out of their way to make guests comfortable and provide what they need, including good suggestions for local services. They recommended a massage therapist who came to us. For me, this place gives my soul rest and healing. I'm so grateful we found this little slice of paradise.

The villas at Casa Colonial were spacious, charming, comfortable, and clean, and we felt safe and well looked after throughout our stay. My husband and I own a Caribbean resort, so we notice service, and Sarah and Bob went out of their way to make this a wonderful holiday. The four-villa property sits in a gorgeous, quiet setting within walking distance of town, with a lovely pool and landscaped courtyard to unwind in after exploring the island. They also shared a detailed map of their favorite restaurants, shops, dive spots, and places to explore, arranged a rental car, and connected us with a great dive shop for a private dive. We had the time of our lives and hope to return year after year. We’ll recommend it to plenty of people. A lovely alternative to an all-inclusive.

Marla and I are already planning to come back soon. The owners keep updating and adding to the excellent amenities, and the whole property is so well cared for, from the front gate and courtyard to every villa. Casa Colonial is a terrific place to stay!

We were lucky to meet one of the owners, Sarah, who gave us lots of helpful tips, and we’d happily plan another trip here. Our group of 11 spent a week at Casa Colonial, with each family having its own villa. They had kitchens, living areas, a half bath downstairs, and two upstairs bedrooms with their own bathrooms. The grounds are lovely, with a big pool, garden, and BBQ area. The “herd” of turtles was a favorite with everyone. They come over when the doors open and love being fed. The location is great too, with plenty of nearby restaurants, the center within walking distance, and mototaxis and regular taxis easy to catch. Definitely recommend it.
