Really great.

I fell in love with my room. It had everything I needed to stay for several days, and I’d definitely come back. The beds were very comfortable, with a nice double pillow, and the terrace had an incredible view. It’s a peaceful place with amenities I loved, including a pool table and an exercise area. The hotel has an excellent location, great prices, and excellent service. For me, it’s the best hotel in Celaya.

The staff came across as a bit curt or apathetic, so I wouldn’t expect the smiles and friendliness you might get at a pricier chain hotel. I also found it inconvenient that they require you to leave your keys when you go out. I came back late in the morning, exhausted, and had to ask for mine. They could leave the keys with the guest and charge 300-500 M.N. for a replacement if one gets lost. There’s a lot to like about the room: my spacious single room had a queen-size bed, mini-fridge, microwave, air conditioning, closet, hanger, iron, soap, shampoo, and towels. The fridge and microwave were especially handy, and the nearby Chadraui supermarket made it easy to pick up drinks and snacks. It’s a decent weekend stay, alone or with company, right on the city’s main boulevard, with easy access to the bus station, downtown, Plaza Galerías, and other spots. The third-floor terrace is roomy and has a great view across much of the city, so it’s a nice place to sit with a cold drink or snack and catch the breeze. The Continental Breakfast Bar is also on that floor, with bread, ham, cheese, juice, fruit, and cereal, so you can eat out there. The hotel has a hot tub or Jacuzzi, but it was neglected and dirty when I visited in December. If you want to book it, ask about its condition first.

Good location, fair price, and a great place to stay.
