The beds were clean and comfortable, and the place itself was very clean, though worn furniture and broken tiles made it feel tired and in need of a refresh. For a 4.6 rating, it was a bit disappointing. There were no glasses or fridge in the room. We stayed for two nights around New Year, but the restaurant was closed, so we had to drive into town, where it was also hard to find anywhere open. The room had almost no water pressure, just a trickle from the sink, and green sludge came out of the tap. When we asked about it, the staff member did nothing. There was no hot water from the shower or taps at all.

The restaurant was a real bright spot, with delicious food and generous portions. Staff at both the hotel and restaurant were friendly and helpful. During our stay, though, there was no hot water and the wifi had problems.

The enchiladas were the worst I’ve ever had, absolutely terrible. The appetizer shrimp was horribly rubbery too. Wouldn’t recommend it.

We all loved the lunch, especially the burgers, beef sandwiches, and fries. Mama made mojitos and daiquiris, and kept the beers cold. The pools were great, and the swim-up bar was perfect. The bathroom was clean, and having an outdoor shower was a big plus. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, including the owner. We got day passes and plan to return on a Sunday for live music and dinner, then again later this year to stay at the resort. 💙

The pool and surrounding area were awesome, and the pools were super clean. We visited for a day on Monday, when the main kitchen is normally closed for cleaning, but they welcomed us warmly, opened it, and served us. The staff were really great, and I’d definitely go again.
