The staff were really friendly, and our room was roomy, well cared for, and pleasant. The hotel is about an 800-meter walk from the Mexican-Belize border. There is parking out front, though space is tight. If you're booking through Air BNB, bring all your receipts. Also, its location search can send you to an empty field, so use Google Maps to find the place.

The hotel was fine, but there’s a cutoff time at night when you can’t come in or leave. Keep that in mind if you plan to go climbing, since you could end up locked out.

They only take cash, with no card payments or bank transfers, and they wouldn’t provide an invoice unless VAT was added. They also wouldn’t accept tax details by WhatsApp or email, so you have to bring them printed at check-in. The reception bathroom was out of order too. The service was very poor, and I can’t recommend this hotel.

The rooms have lots of space, and there are basic amenities along with a pool and café. You also get a lovely lagoon view, especially at sunrise. Watch out for the bathroom partition, though, as it’s very high. If you’re older or traveling with an older person, ask for a room that works for everyone.
