Hampton Inn by Hilton Chihuahua City

It didn’t feel up to Hampton Inn standards. The room wasn’t especially dirty, but it wasn’t clean either.

The front desk was very helpful, and the hotel was clean and well located.

I came here for surgery at the hospital across the street, and the staff checked in every day to ask how I was feeling. They even offered to bring food to my room so I wouldn’t have to walk. When it was dark, they wouldn’t let me go get my medicine from the nearby pharmacy alone. I’ve been back after three years and seen the same familiar staff smiling at me. I feel safe here, and if there’s somewhere I don’t feel comfortable going, they’ll have someone accompany me. They care. Need help understanding a menu, finding an optometrist, or making a nail appointment? No problem. They give great recommendations and will even help book appointments. I’m American, and my Spanish is questionable, to put it kindly, but everyone helps me without expecting anything or trying to get a tip. They’re the kindest staff, and I’d absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Mexico for medical care. I’ve even seen the maids carrying the drapes on their cart, so I know they wash them. I dream of a hotel like this. You can stay somewhere else and get mediocre treatment and mediocre rooms.

The staff are great, but the hotel needs basic repairs and a better clean. There were long black hairs left by a previous guest, ice was hard to find, and there were no soft drinks. The location was also hard to navigate to.
