Hm Mirador (Ex Mirador Hotel)

It’s an older place, but the location and especially the service make up for a lot. The staff are wonderful, always kind and ready to help with whatever you need. I skipped the pool, though the other guests seemed to be having a great time there. They also held group events and had conference rooms.

I had a calm, relaxing stay, and the pool was great. There’s a lovely patio under the trees where you can sit with a book or watch a movie. My room was clean and nice, with a firm mattress. The breakfast buffet was good, pretty much like other buffets.

Service was good, and so was the breakfast buffet. The price might bring me back, though I may look elsewhere next time. It’s close to downtown, but the mattresses are so hard they feel like the floor, and there isn’t enough parking for the number of rooms. We found that out late at night when we got back and couldn’t find a spot. Not cool.

We love the pool because it’s not too deep and is just right for the kids. Our last room and bed were great, but this time we may have had a room that hasn’t been renovated. The beds were really, really firm, and housekeeping missed the mark, with a dirty mirror and no towels in the bathroom. Still, it’s otherwise a great place to stay.
