The location is the one real plus: food and things to do are just a few minutes away on foot. Beyond that, service was poor and the old rooms felt outdated, with little more than a bed and small TV. The website and Expedia photos didn’t match what we found. The soap, shampoo, and body cream were old, and the restaurant and 100-peso breakfast advertised on Expedia weren’t available. Parking is limited, two blocks away, and only offered from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. The pool was too cold to swim in. We’d barely call this a one-star hotel, let alone three. Sometimes you’re disappointed, and I guess this was our turn. Family G

There’s no included parking, and spaces are limited. The rooms were cold with no heating, and the shower stayed cold at night and again in the morning. When I called, staff didn’t believe there was no hot water. My plans were delayed by about an hour and a half before they found a problem with the water heater. At checkout I asked to speak to the manager, but was refused. I expected a simple apology for the poor service; the receptionist denied me one even after I asked, saying, “it's what it is.” The people managing this property don’t seem to know how to run a successful hotel, and that attitude clearly reaches their employees.

The location is a 10/10, and the host was always quick to respond, though I had to contact him about twice a day. Speaking as a digital nomad, I wouldn’t count on a fully independent, plug-and-play stay. The WiFi kept failing and needed help from a very capable maintenance man. It disrupted my work, and during my week there I had to work elsewhere several times. They had no parking or dependable recommendation. They kindly offered to let me bring my motorcycle into the lobby, but I passed once I realized there was no way out of the plaza, only in. If you just need a cheap place to sleep in the city center while you’re out all day, it’ll do.

The location is great, with plenty of restaurants and historical and archeological sites nearby, and the front desk staff were nice. Our room was clean and really nice, but the shower and telephone didn’t work. Parking service was really bad. We only stayed one night, so we didn’t use any of the amenities.
