Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ciudad Obregon

The room was comfortable, and I slept really well in the soft bed with the nice linens and towels. I also liked being able to set the temperature myself. The soap didn't leave my skin dry, and the lotion was good. The hotel looks modern and was clean. My one gripe was the coffee maker: it was dusty inside and out when I wanted to make coffee to have with a pastry. The staff were great, especially the parking attendant, who helped fit our huge, heavily loaded truck. We felt safe leaving it there, which was the main reason we chose the hotel.

The location worked well, with several good places to eat just a short walk away, and the rooms felt modern with comfortable beds. Check-in was easy, and my room was quite nice. I was on the new 8th floor, though, and had no hot water at all during my stay. When I asked once, they told me to let it run, but the water only got barely warm, so I didn't ask again. Everything else was fine until the second elevator broke down on the last day of my trip.

Breakfast was better than the usual IHG offering, which we really appreciated since, as tourists, we didn't want to go far. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and looked after. We enjoyed our stay and plan to come back.

I've stayed here many times when visiting Obregon, and things are usually fine. This time, our room was dirty, with half a cup of coffee left by a previous guest, and the maid didn't replace our towels after the first night. We called the front desk for another towel, then had to call twice more because nobody came. At 11 PM, we were told they were too busy to help. The garage was also full, so I ended up parking on the street. After this visit, I'm thinking of staying somewhere else next time.
