Everyone was so friendly and charismatic, and the hotel’s right in the city center, so everything is within walking distance. The rooms were neat and clean. For the price, this is one of the best hotel areas I’ve stayed in, maybe the best. I’ll definitely come back.

The people made my friend and me feel right at home, which was the best part of this charming hotel. It’s in a great location, and the rooms are big, clean, and comfortable. The chilaquiles were great, too. Saludos y nos vemos la próxima.

We stayed from April 17 to 19, choosing this hotel for its central location and the comfort you’d expect from a place listed as four-star. In my view, it deserves only three. The rooms and bathrooms have newer finishes, apparently from a recent renovation, and the beds were large and comfortable. It’s an old two-story house; only the lower floor is used as the hotel, while the owners’ family lives upstairs. The parking is in the central patio and fits four or five cars, but getting in through the extremely narrow, awkward entrance was difficult. Someone there parks the cars. The patio is neglected, with unused things piled at the back, and looks bad. One day the person parking our car left the passenger window open. It rained that night and soaked the seat. I also think some kind of animal, maybe a cat, got into the trunk. When I opened the door it was frightened, but I couldn’t tell what it was. I left the trunk open to report it, and by the time I returned the animal was gone, but it had left the trunk dirty. The biggest problem was the shower. Hot water sometimes took as long as 15 minutes to come through, wasting a lot of water, and then it came out nearly boiling and was hard to adjust. The sink pipes leaked, leaving a puddle underneath after use. The minibar wasn’t plugged in; when we tried, it tripped the outlet. The outlet’s wall installation was badly done. Internet was also unreliable, connecting only sometimes. They fixed some things, but these problems aren’t acceptable for a four-star hotel, especially when it’s the most expensive one in Coatepec. The location is its strongest point, but service needs work. I saw just two employees during our stay, the cleaning woman and another young man, who seemed to handle everything from general cleaning to making coffee and breakfast. We never saw a manager to report the issues to.

The bathroom doors were uncomfortable to use when sharing the room, because the glass and privacy film didn’t give enough privacy for the toilet or shower. Aside from that, the room was spacious, clean, and pleasant. Mine had a TV, fridge, coffee maker with water and coffee provided, sofa, vanity, closet, hair dryer, and plenty of towels and soap. The location is excellent, right in central Coatepec. I had some internet trouble and they helped fix it, though the TV signal wasn’t very good.

Very nice place, with spacious, comfortable rooms and a great spot right across from Coatepec’s central park. You can head out at night to buy marquesitas or elotes.
