Hotel San Pablo

It was okay.

The buffet by the pool was a highlight. The food bar was good and the food tasty, which matters a lot to me, though it's not included in the room rate. The place was family-friendly, very quiet, and clean. I chose it for the pool and for being near the center, but the pool water was freezing and there was no hot water after 8 pm. It's in San Andrés, a four-minute walk from the pyramid and a 10-minute drive from downtown Cholula. I didn't give it five stars because I didn't enjoy the pool, even though that's the listing's main selling point.

The rooms are close to the event halls, and noise kept us awake in the early morning. Drunk people came to the rooms and made a racket. The pool was dirty, with worms and mold, and the buffet service was awful: there was hair in the cold food, they pressured us to eat because they close at 1 pm, and when something ran out they didn't make more. Staff made faces whenever we asked for anything. Room cleaning was superficial, towels were stained, the bathroom had some minor issues, and there were bed bugs. At 2 am we woke up from a bed bug bite. They didn't believe us until they saw the bugs on the bed. I had to wake my daughter and move rooms, but afterward we still couldn't sleep well because we were scared of bringing bugs home. Terrible service. Don't go.

The rooms are really spacious, very clean, and the staff are attentive. The only downside is that sound carries a lot through the walls. You can hear regular conversations and other things, haha.
