The staff were great, and the restaurant was delicious, with generous portions. The bread and cappuccinos were especially good. I stayed in the "San Francisco" room, tucked away in a quiet spot that felt spacious, though I'd have liked more light. I also loved the decoration. The location makes it easy to leave your car and walk around. Sit at a courtyard table with a coffee, enjoy the garden fountain, and you can hear the church bells from the next corner.

The rooms are great, and so is the mattress. The restaurant is excellent, although the service feels a bit provincial. It's a place worth visiting, if you can accept some rather old electrical and plumbing systems. I wish the outlets and switches were better. The shower and toilet aren't great for saving water, either. My bathroom was especially awkward to get in and out of because the entrance is blocked by the WC.

Coatepec is easy to explore on foot from this very central hotel, with most cafés and restaurants nearby. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the restaurant served very good traditional food. A great place to stay.

My room was huge, comfortable, and very clean, and I found the hotel really relaxing. It's a beautifully renovated piece of 19th century history, full of original details. In Central Coatepec, it's also within walking distance of plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, and boutique stores. I stay in lots of hotels when I travel, and this one is near perfect. It's not new, so appreciate the care given to its details.

A spectacular, genuine place with a top-notch location and service. The restaurant is probably the best in town. The coffee comes from the owners family and is probably my favourite in town too.
